The Sound Beach Community Band (SBCB) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a cherished musical institution based in Greenwich, CT. Originally established in 1955 as a Fire Department Band, we have spent nearly seven decades bringing high-quality live music to the residents of Fairfield County.

Under the expert musical direction of Zachary Kampler, our ensemble performs a diverse repertoire including classical masterpieces, Broadway show tunes, contemporary wind band works, and patriotic favorites.

Free Community Concerts & Local Events

We are dedicated to enriching the cultural landscape of Connecticut through the power of music. The Sound Beach Community Band is a staple of the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series, frequently performing at the beautiful Binney Park.

Join the Band: Opportunities for Greenwich Musicians

Are you a musician looking for a community band in Fairfield County? We are always seeking new players to join our ranks! Our membership is a vibrant mix of professional musicians, passionate amateurs, and student performers.

Who Can Join: We welcome instrumentalists from all walks of life—from retired professionals to talented middle and high school students.

No-Dues Membership: We are a dues-free band, ensuring that local music remains accessible to everyone.

Audition Policy: Participation is audition-free for musicians of high school age and above. (Middle school students may join by audition).

Rehearsals: We hold weekly rehearsals in Old Greenwich, CT. Contact us for more precise information.
